Spain's Ministry of Finance was running its economic and financial intelligence on an outdated platform: fragmented, difficult to consolidate, and increasingly misaligned with the scale of data it needed to handle. The ARES Project set out to change that.

Getronics delivered a modernised platform built around two core modules: a public-facing citizen portal giving open access to published financial information, and an internal management application that handles how content from collaborating departments is collected, classified, and published.

The platform integrates data from across Spain's public administration landscape — Autonomous Communities, Local Entities, and the Social Security system — while keeping the experience straightforward for end users. Despite the volume of data involved, queries are fast and results reliable.

The project forms part of the Ministry's broader digital modernisation agenda, led by the SGTIC.
